PanditVaani is a Vedic astrology app. It computes your birth chart (kundli) from the birth details you give it, writes you a daily horoscope, and lets you talk to Pandit ji about your chart. Pandit ji's replies are generated by an automated language-model service on our servers. This page explains what the app collects and why.

What we collect

• Birth details you enter: name, date of birth, time of birth (optional), and place of birth. These are needed to compute your kundli.
• Documents you choose to upload: if you use "Upload a kundli", the photo or PDF you pick is sent to our server once so the four birth facts can be read off it automatically. The file itself is not stored; only the extracted name, date, time and place are shown back to you for confirmation.
• Your chat messages with Pandit ji, and the replies, so the conversation can continue across sessions.
• An anonymous account identifier created by Firebase Authentication on first launch. You can optionally link a Google account or phone number so your kundli survives a phone change. We never show your number or email to anyone.
• Basic app analytics (Firebase Analytics): app opens, crashes, screen views. No advertising identifiers are used for tracking.

How it is used

• Birth details are used only to compute your chart and to give Pandit ji context for the conversation.
• Chat messages, your chart summary and your profession are sent to our language-model service provider (Anthropic) to generate Pandit ji's replies and your daily horoscope. They are not used to train models.
• Place names are looked up through a geocoding service (Open-Meteo) to obtain coordinates and time zone.

Where it is stored

Your kundli and conversations are stored in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore, region Mumbai, India), tied to your account identifier. Only you can read your data; our server writes it. Data is protected by Firebase security rules and encrypted in transit and at rest.

What we do not do

• We do not sell or share your personal data with advertisers.
• We do not access your contacts, location, camera, or microphone in this version.
• PanditVaani is for reflection and entertainment. It is not medical, legal, or financial advice, and Pandit ji is instructed to point you to a professional for such decisions.

Notifications and advertising

• If you opt in, a push notification with your daily horoscope is sent each morning at the time you choose (Firebase Cloud Messaging). Turn it off any time from Profile.
• The app shows ads served by Google AdMob, which may use your device's advertising ID. You can reset or delete this ID in your phone's Google settings.

Your choices

• Change or correct birth details any time from Profile.
• Start a new chat from the Chat tab; earlier conversations remain in your account.
• Uninstalling the app removes local data. To delete your account and all server data, email us at the address below with the name you used in the app; we delete within 30 days.

Children

PanditVaani is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

We will update this page when the policy changes and note the new effective date at the top.
